Somerset based contemporary folk singer songwriter Sharon Lazibyrd releases 'What Time Is Later?' as a new single from her upcoming debut solo album
Released on 2nd December 2016, 'What Time Is Later?' is a song that considers the meaning of time and its passing, and was inspired by Sharon’s daughter asking her the question at Purbeck Folk Festival. “This question as well as being a great line was thought provoking and the rest of the song seemed to flow quite naturally from that starting point, what does ‘later’ really mean?" said Sharon. The new single features Sharon on vocals and ukulele and she is joined by Damon and Kate Bridge (both of Somerset based outfit Owl In The Sun) who orchestrate the song with piano, accordion, violin and backing vocals. Sharon is currently recording her keenly anticipated debut solo album 'Half Shame And Half Glory' at Orchard Studios in Somerset and it will be released in Spring 2017. On release 'What Time Is Later?' will be available for download from all major digital distribution stores. A pre-release order is available now on Bandcamp.
