Album Of The Month - October 2015
WhiteMoor - 'Pause And Effect'
WhiteMoor was formed in 2010. Barrington Mole (guitars, backing vocals) initially enlisted the services of Benny Ryan (lead vocals), Luke Inglis (bass) and Tom Scribbins (drums). The line up was completed when Louise Tomlinson (keys, backing vocals) joined the band in 2012.
The five piece soon caught the attention of fans and the media with the release of several quality singles and their well received self titled debut album. Second album 'Horizons' followed in 2013 and helped confirm their growing reputation in the British rock music scene.
Third studio album 'Pause And Effect' was released in July 2015. The new 11 track release takes WhiteMoor into uncharted territory with a more heavy, guitar driven, darker sound whilst still maintaining the catchy hooks, delicate harmonies and soaring vocals that were evident on earlier albums.
From opening track 'Hollywood' through to album closer 'Until Tomorrow', this collection of highly accomplished songs provides for compulsive listening. The sound is huge and the variety of music on offer is astonishing. Loud, melodic and full of hooks the tunes stick in your mind and demand repeated listens.
'Pause And Effect' is an epic, thrilling rock album packed full of great tunes. Easily one of the best rock albums heard this year. Play it loud!
