Loudhailer Electric Company
Biography
Loudhailer Electric Company is a new band based in Hull with a big history in the post punk psychedelic and original indie scene.
Band line up is:
Lou Duffy-Howard
The band’s songwriter and vocalist. Lou had indie chart topping success with influential indie band Red Guitars - best known for No. 1 single 'Good Technology' and independent album 'Slow to Fade', before releasing two albums on Virgin Records.
Richard Duffy-Howard
Poet, former space age trance world dub band spoken wordsmith and acoustic guitarist.
Jeff Parsons
Former Dead Fingers Talk guitarist. Influenced by The Who and American psychedelic bands, and with a first album produced by the late great Mick Ronson, Jeff’s upside down guitar style sends the Loudhailer Electric Company into orbit.
Rich Walker
Keeping it all together on the electronic/acoustic kit.
Chris Heron
Classically trained violinist and with a passion for improvising folk, gypsy jazz, blues and flamenco. It all adds up to psychedelic strings.
Recorded by John Spence at the legendary Fairview Studio, debut album 'Cursus' was released on the DHM record label on 7th November 2016. Featuring nine original tracks of highly atmospheric and immersive psychedelic sounds, 'Cursus' was chosen as our #AlbumOfTheYear for 2016.
Brand new track 'Underneath The Underground' has just been released on the 'Fairview At 50' anniversary CD and DVD.
The band is planning to record more new material for a second album release.
